But I am kinda lying. Wallpaper is expensive! So... we went with wrapping paper- on sale- at TJ Maxx. Dan picked it out & I will tell you, I was nervous. I thought it might be too bright and scary but it is so fun! It adds some brightness & a modern touch to the traditional built ins. And there are not 100 bowls! Woot!
So how did we do it? We picked up two rolls of wrapping paper for about $6 total.
Then we emptied the bowl of fame.

So we rolled out the whole thing and hoped that it would be long enough and wide enough.
So we rolled it up long ways & snaked it onto the bottom shelf. We thought working from the bottom up would be best- that way if it was messy somewhere it would be the top. Foreshadowing- it will be.
We secured it as we went with these glue dots- the paper is so light & the shelves do a lot of the holding, so it just needed a little help.
And then we were done! And then we were about 2 inches too short. Womp.

If you're really good and want to scroll that much you will see a few little changes from this picture and the top one. Challenge, anyone?
So in about 30 minutes and with about $10 we had brand new built ins! And since we rent & can't paint this pop of color is definitely welcome!
What do other renters do to make their spaces pop? Been decorating any built ins lately? Have too many bowls? Disclaimer: I LOVE all my bowls- they just needed to be displayed better!
